The character Christopher Robin from Winnie-The-Pooh by A. A. Milne, was actually based on a real person. Real life Christopher Robin was the son of A. A. Milne. According to this article in TIME, A. A. Milne suffered from PTSD from fighting in World War I and raised Christopher on a farm in Ashdown Forest in East Sussex, England. The article elaborates Robin felt alienated from his mother who he believed cared more for her socialite appearances and who was mostly absent from his life. Christopher Robin Milne also fought in a world war, acting as a sapper for the British army in World War II.
Fame can seem so alluring, however many come to despise it, especially when their fame is unsought. Christopher Robin Milne was bullied in school for his association with the beloved children's books. Christopher Robin Milne died on April 20, 1996 in Devon county, age 75.
There have been multiple film adaptations of Christopher Robin including the 2017 british biopic, Goodbye Christopher Robin and Disney's 2018 whimsical imagining of a grown up Christopher Robin, called Christopher Robin.
In this let's draw, we can see Christopher Robin enjoying a sunny day in The Hundred Acre Wood. He is playing on a flute, awaiting the notice of his animal friends. I went with an autiumnal palette for this coloring session. The leaves are just beginning to turn to autumn colors and Christopher Robin wears autumn tones as well.
