New video games come out every month and you know what that means... more palettes to appreciate! As before, I've used the app Coolors Image Picker to generate the palettes. This month has some very unique games being released, let's see what color palettes we can create.
Two Point Museum

Two Point Museum's featured prehistory theme goes with a deep earthy color palette, evoking the features of the natural world such as clay, dirt and bones as well as plant life. As such, the color palette from this image has an earthy theme.

Assassin's Creed Shadows

For Assassin's Creed Shadows, I've selected a night scene to accentuate the nightcrawling vibes. Assassin's Creed Shadows takes place in Japan so we get a rich night time palette featuring deep greens from the lily pads and woody oranges from the Japanese architecture lit by torchlight.

Tales Of The Shire

This new cozy hobbit sim features the lush forests, cobblestone paths and stoney brooks we've come to associate with the Shire. The palette is a light and cheerful mix of greens and sand tones, perfect for creating cottagy vibes.

Atomfall

Atomfall is a post apocalyptic first person shooter game which takes place in post nucelar UK. The land may be ravaged but the quantness of English cottage life still persists. England is also known for it's dreary weather. This color palette features the verdant greens and overcast greys quintessential to English life.

Whether or not you stick to rigit color palettes in your own works of art, palettes can be a great tool for conceptualizing a theme and honing in on what kind of overall impression you want to make with your piece. Of course, palettes can be created from all sorts of inspirations or even through pure creativity. That being said, if you are interested in what other games are coming out this month, you can check out my video here.
What are some locations which you think would be inspiration for a color palette? Which of these palettes did you like best?
I really liked the pallet from Atomfall. As for what I would use as inspiration, the game animal crossing or legend of Zelda.
